Mere days before last night’s debate, an audio clip from 2005 was released of Republican Presidential nominee Donald Trump saying lewd things about what he can get away with doing to women because he’s famous including, “Grabbing them by the pussy.”
At last night’s debate, the wife of the Republican nominee for President of the United States, Melania Trump, wore an $1,100 Gucci Pussy Bow pink silk shirt. To those wondering, the pussy bow is a style of neckwear often associated with women’s blouses and bodices. It takes the form of a bow tied at the neck, similar to those that used to be tied around kittens’ and cats’ necks. It’s nothing new either; the pussy bow style has been around since the nineteenth century.
Today we are all wondering if Melania was making a tongue-in-cheek statement about the comments her husband made about women by using a bright pink pussy bow blouse to do the talking for her.
Even if Melania wasn’t aware of what that style of blouse is called, the person dressing her probably did. We’re assuming her stylist didn’t take kindly to Donald’s attitude towards women.
