As a Kentucky girl I was intrigued simply by the name of this perfume. If you know anything about bourbon, (and if you do, let’s talk because it is one of my favorite subjects) then you know that the intoxicating aroma (pun absolutely intended) is comprised of vanilla, wood, smoke and musk. And if you know anything about perfume, then you know that all of these scents work well within the parameters of perfume. So kudos to Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen’s brand Elizabeth and James for creating Nirvana Bourbon ($85). This perfume is a provocative blend of sultry vanilla bourbon, oakwood, and a hint of tuberose for a bold, oriental-woody scent with intoxicating confidence. Bringing a lightness to Nirvana, the amber toned bottle with rich gold accents blends feminine curves with contrasting architectural lines. This is the perfect fall and winter perfume.
