If there’s one wrist accessory you’ll find on any self-admitted prepster, it’s the Cartier Love bracelet ($6,300). The bangle’s history dates back to 1969 when the initial design–then made of silver and plated in gold–was created at the jeweler’s New York City workshop. Cartier reportedly gave a number of them out to famous couples at the time, including the Duke and Duchess of Windsor and Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton.
