Spending an eternity buried in the tomb above Marilyn Monroe is costing one Ebay bidder $4.6 million.
Elsie Poncher, a widow, sold her husband’s burial spot directly above the film legend so that she can pay off her mortgage.
She put an advertisement on eBay to auction off the tomb in Westwood Village Memorial Park, Los Angeles.
“Here is a once in a lifetime and into eternity opportunity to spend your eternal days directly above Marilyn Monroe,” the Ebay ad said.
Bidding opened at $500,000.00 on Friday August 14th at 12:00:00 PDT, had already topped $4,500,000.00 by Monday morning, August 17th. The auction ended August 24th. The winning bid was $4,602,100.00.
