As a result of an extensive renovation, the Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek in Dallas—arguably the Lone Star State’s best hotel—just got even better. Rosewood Hotels & Resorts has combined efforts with interior designer Michael Booth of San Francisco–based firm BAMO to freshen the look of the 30-year-old hotel’s lobby and 143 rooms and suites. Now the Mansion exudes a bit of contemporary style while retaining its traditional elegance.
“Those who have never been to the Mansion will feel like this is the legendary, iconic place they’ve always heard about,” Booth explains. “And those who’ve been coming for years will recognize it as the place they’ve always loved.”
A warm, buttery color palate adorns much of the hotel’s lobby, guest rooms, and five-star, award-winning restaurant. The walls throughout the hotel showcase the Mansion’s signature art collection just as they did three decades ago—only now the featured artists are all Texas based. Refined and comfortable furniture by designers such as Michael Taylor, John Boone, and William Switzer grace the rooms and lobby, where guests check in at the custom limed-oak reception counter. Room rates at the Mansion range from $245 to $4,000.
