Although he’s known for his red carpet creations, it looks like Lebanese designer Elie Saab will soon be known for his luxury hotels too: the couturier is to start creating a boutique style hotel at the Tiger Woods Dubai resort, which is expected to launch in September 2009.
“This is a first for me in terms of designing the interior of a hotel, a reason why this project is especially close to my heart and will draw the best of my creative sensibilities,” Saab says.
Hoping to “create a dreamlike ambience”, the 360,000-square-foot complex will reportedly include 14 bungalows and 89 suites as well as a golf course designed by Tiger Woods himself. Tiger Woods Dubai is a golf community located in the massive Dubailand project that also includes a golf academy, a 60,000-square-foot clubhouse, a retail area and villas and mansions for sale.
